In 2013, YouVersion and OneHope, a faith-based global outreach organization in Florida, developed an app in the hopes of making God’s Word accessible to young children. Now, the Bible App for Kids reached an amazing milestone—it has been uniquely installed 100 million times! It took seven years for the app to reach 50 million installs and just three years for the next 50 million, reports Standard Newswire.

We’re really encouraged to see millions of families around the world choose to turn to the Bible and learn about God together. —Bobby Gruenewald, Life.Church Innovation Pastor and YouVersion Founder and CEO

“We know that the most important influence in a child’s life is their family,” said Bobby Gruenewald, Life.Church Innovation Pastor and YouVersion Founder and CEO. “With that in mind, we’re really encouraged to see millions of families around the world choose to turn to the Bible and learn about God together.”

As the name suggests, the Bible App for Kids specifically caters to children and it is one of the 10 best Bible apps for Android. There are interactive adventures, challenges, and fun cartoons that teach kids about the Bible. It is available in 66 languages and has been translated to Spanish, Chinese, and French.

“Through this Bible experience, we’re seeing children in every country fall in love with God’s Word,” said Rob Hoskins, OneHope President. “We’re passionate about equipping the global Church to engage the next generation with interactive stories from the Bible and help lay a foundation for future spiritual growth.”

Bible App for Kids is free that’s why many children are able to learn about the 41 major stories of the Bible. The app also provides resources for parents and church leaders without cost.

The Bible App for Kids changed the lives of a family in Austin, Texas. The Push family has two immunocompromised kids and the pandemic brought complex challenges to them. With the app, their children got to experience church right in their living room. “We’re so grateful for the Bible App for Kids. It literally changed our life…changed our kids’ lives,” said Mr. Push.

Arisha, a 7-year-old kid from Russia, shared the Bible App for Kids to her friend Mariana. After using the app for weeks, Mariana decided to follow Jesus.

“She doesn’t hesitate to share her faith and tell her friends about Jesus,” said Olga, Arisha’s mother. “After we downloaded the Bible App for Kids, she has become more interested in the Bible. The Bible comes alive for her now.”
